We collect information you provide directly and information generated through your use of the platform:

Account & Profile Data

  • Name, email address, and phone number
  • Profile photo
  • Password (stored in hashed form; we never see your plaintext password)

Shop & Product Data (Sellers)

  • Shop name, description, logo, and cover image
  • Product listings including titles, descriptions, prices, and photos
  • WhatsApp contact number for order communications

Transaction & Payment Data

  • Wallet top-up history and transaction records
  • Payment method details processed by our third-party payment providers (we do not store full card numbers)

Usage Data

  • Shop and product view counts
  • App activity logs, feature usage, and session data
  • Device type, operating system, and app version

AI Tool Data

  • Product information you submit for AI flyer and poster generation

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Providing the service — creating and managing your account, running your shop, processing orders.
  • Communications — sending transactional emails, account notifications, and support replies.
  • Payments — processing wallet top-ups and facilitating transactions.
  • Platform improvement — analysing usage data to improve features and fix issues.

We will only send you marketing communications if you have opted in. You can opt out at any time.

Service Providers

We use trusted third-party providers to operate the platform, including Google Firebase (database, authentication, and cloud storage), payment processors, and AI service providers. These providers process data only on our instructions and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

Other Users

Seller shop profiles and product listings are publicly visible. Your WhatsApp number is shared with Buyers who initiate an order from your shop.

Legal Requirements

We may disclose your data where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Afrostall, our users, or the public.

Business Transfers

If Voise Limited is acquired, merged, or transfers its assets, your data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this happens.

6. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period thereafter to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.

When you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law (for example, for financial records).

Your data may be processed in countries outside the UK or EEA, including countries where our service providers (such as Google) operate. Where we transfer data internationally, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as standard contractual clauses approved by relevant authorities.

We implement industry-standard technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit (HTTPS/TLS) and at rest, access controls, and regular security reviews.

No system is completely secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at support@afrostall.com.

11. Children's Privacy

Afrostall is not intended for children under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

12. Cookies and Tracking

Our website (afrostall.com) may use essential cookies required for the site to function. We do not currently use advertising or tracking cookies. Our mobile app does not use browser cookies.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via the app or by email. The effective date at the top of this page will always reflect the latest version. Continued use of Afrostall after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
